STORY BEHIND THE FEATURE

Odoo's standard customer portal is designed for businesses with a straightforward customer relationship. However, associations with complex structures like CVX, comprising multiple regional and local communities, require a more tailored approach. Existing functionalities fall short in providing a comprehensive portal experience for members, hindering efficient member management and engagement.

ODOO'S FUNCTIONS

Odoo offers foundational tools for managing customers, subscriptions, and events. While these can be adapted, they lack the specific features required for associations, such as member segmentation based on regional communities, dedicated member portals, and streamlined access to community-specific information.

CLUEDOO'S FUNCTIONS

CLuedoo’s ability to manage portal access groups can be leveraged to define different levels of access for members based on their regional and local community affiliations. This enables granular control over member permissions and ensures data privacy. Additionally, CLuedoo can be configured to allow portal user to modify their login emails and passwords with either read or write access, providing flexibility in user management.
CLUEDOO RECOMMENDATIONS

Integrate CLuedoo with the Portal User Access module to effectively manage member access rights and user credentials. This will enhance security and optimize the user experience by providing members with relevant information based on their community affiliation, while granting administrators the necessary control over user accounts.

HOW TO USE THIS MODULE

1.

Go to user with user type Portal> sign with mail > My account > Edit information

For example: loggin with mail [email protected]

2.

Go to Settings > Portal Access Group > There are 2 access about login and password.

3.

With Login: users have 2 access Read + Write > so they can see & edit their login

For example:

I change login from "[email protected]" to "login1" > so they can't login with "[email protected]" anymore, only can login with "login1"

4.

With Password: users have 1 access - Write access > so they can change their password same as login

To change access you can click on the line and choose which access you want to set for this field

For ex: I set Read Access only for password so portal users can't change password
